The price of tea in China…or the price of everything shopping in the USA. Everything is going up in price. The milk, the eggs, bread & gas. I can honestly now say “I remember when prices…”, who can say that at my age? Honestly I think my parents saw this coming miles ahead, so why did the government just sit back to watch us all dwindle it away?

I came across this in an article talking about the prices of gas when you commute back and forth to work. I am thankful that I am not in this group but that does not mean I am ignoring the prices of gas, down one week & back up the next. I think they do this just to fool us into thinking they actually give a crap about what it costs the average American to commute back and forth to work, to the sitters for daycare, to schools for our kids. Do the big guys really care? Some might, but I am sure they are outnumbered by those who do not.

Anytime I shop I am trying to find the best prices, most of my shopping is done online or at a single market for all of my food needs. I go there because they allow customers to take part in what they call FuelPerks, if you are familiar with BI-LO they I need not explain any further. If not skinny is that you buy things and its a gas savings program that you are in. You get a fancy card and everything. It takes on from the amount you spend along with random bonus items through the store and voilĂ  you have cheaper gas. The lowest I have managed so far is paying .60/gal and that was a great day.

Considering that I visit the store weekly hitting random sales (and I will talk about couponing at some point) everyone there knows me on a first name basis. Most of the staff are all very friendly. One woman gave me an awesome deal on two random plants I picked up for a mishap that her coworkers did and to this day she still asks me how the babies are doing. Another gave me a discount on random pies I picked up for an incorrect labeling. Free pie anyone, why thank you!

I love the store, I do however wish they would fire two people. The first is a shift manager who seems to have let his title go to his pointless little noggin. He will decline almost any competitor coupon for anyone, even his coworkers. For that I think he fits into the group of Idiots that need tossed. The other is a random stock boy (still years later) who can not help a single soul when it comes to pointing out anything in the store other than the current item in his hand. *sigh* Here is your ticket…
