We read about it on Facebook or Twitter, we hear about it in the work office around the water cooler but you know that political campaign directors take it to the extreme. Smear cheer, we love our commercials! Now the ones we get to see are set with a little more work put into them, and random slamming of the other guy. As each year passes I tend to see them get a little more brave when it comes to these too and I find it great. Some of the stuff in these commercials are things that we would not let our kids watch on TV but because it’s an ad for someone running for president, its okay. Hypocrites much?
The political commercials just have me laughing all over the place lately, some are getting bold and racy. I love it! Most are pretty decent and low-key but lately the ones I see for Ron Paul, when not touching on his good side (helping people, serving, etc.) end up just smashing his competition. The one I caught this week just about smeared Santorum not just into the mud but down below the ground 1/2 way down into “Hallow Earth”. I could not think of anything better than smear cheer, we love our commercials for the title to this as looking back on it now, who does not love to hear about dirty gossip?
