While we have been Crushing the Competition there are times when we all need to get away, even for a day it could be a blessing. We are planning a trip soon for a quick get away for a night, maybe two if I can squeeze another full day of not working into the mind of my better half. Mini vacation, AHOY!
We both work in somewhat different fields with an overlap in the middle of our “extra jobs”. My main job of course is being a mother and a home maker (still working on that latter one), and his is work outside of the home along with some other stuff like my own. We both work too hard but its much better than the opposite. Work hard, play hard, right? Lately I have heard of so many people without jobs but when you narrow the list down, a bunch of people do not want jobs. They do not care about the hard work that goes into being dedicated and they only want to be able to pay their bills.
To me its still amazing that I can see such a small portion of people that actually want jobs to do well at something, not just to pay bills. We all have bills. Big bills and little bills, old bills and new bills. I am just amazed even more the people without jobs, that do not want to work, yet complain about jobs being given away freely to others – these are the same people that randomly gossip about going on some crazy ass expensive vacation.
People are seriously stupid sometimes. I wonder if anyone like this realizes the main reason they are in debt is because they are idiots? We are going on a day trip, unless I am lucky and can talk him into a 2 day go (we do work a great deal) but we are not doing anything over the top. Its to celebrate a birthday, a quick get away and overall just a break that we do need. We will not be going into debt over it, we will not be returning with so many souvenirs that we will just clog up our house with wasted space storing things that we will never use.
I am thankful that I am not completely stupid (even though I do have my moments), that I am doing better than I was years ago and that finally, we will have a break even if its a short one. Even though we will both be on call, work will be missed, a little. It can be summed up in three words: Can not wait!
