At this point in my life I think their biggest secret is something that only a few seem to have. Have you ever noticed that most magicians age at a different rate that the rest of us? There are those people in the world who take exercise and healthy eating to the max. Some refuse to eat meat or daily, others workout at what some of us would think are insane rates. I know one guy that works out more than I think anyone else I know and for their age, is in pretty decent shape.
We hear about all the fad diets out there; South Beach, 3 day diet, Hollywood, Starvation & Amputation. What are we really coming to as a world wide set of people that amputation would even be a willing option? I think that and starvation are my top two picks for the worst of the worst. I know another friend who does an off again/on again diet which is based from what I can tell on the starvation route. Are we not taught as kids that food is our fuel? I just do not get it.
So far I have been on my fun & crazy little journey to lose a few, and it has been working. This is why I think I am so confused by people expecting a quick fix. I have researched as best I can and I am lucky enough to have a friend who I can also bounce questions off of to get honest feedback from someone who did lose a good deal of weight and exercises religiously now.
Everyone either wants something for free or they want it quick. Its very easy to put weight on but no one seems to want to step up and work to take that weight off. I have already quit smoking, I am a smart shopper now (and saving), I am working to get back to being a healthier me. I think the magicians secret is something well hidden and a great way to look like they are aging slower than the rest of us but there is always hope; even if that means you have to work a little for it.
