The only thing that can make me giggle at this point is finding @SwearengenCD on Twitter which even if not him, is still madly hilarious at this point since all we can really do is laugh to keep from going after a Sony Exec and beating them to a pulp. I am not even sure that SwearengenCD has as many words waiting to be tweeted (all of which being foul language) as what is currently going through my mind right now typing this.

I guess I had missed the news when Sony decided to jack up every single client they have all in one go, by not doing what any geek tells everyone they know to do; protect your junk. How exactly do you go from a possible attack then to a full breach of security of handing over everyone’s personal information to the entire underground world and not bat an eyelash? OpSony or not, people need to start taking responsibility for what they do or what they do not do. How do you simply not check your junk, patch it up when needed and protect yourself along with your clients?

Everyone who knows me knows that I have for years been a long and loyal fan of Sony PS. I have always preferred their games and system over others, loved the hand controllers, and after taking tons of shit from other people who liked other systems I still stuck with my guns. At this point it’s just useless. It is about as useless as trying to get a duck to sit down in a top hat with a bow-tie for a photo op; and have a monkey sitting next to him juggling oranges – on the wing of a flying airplane.

Any company that refuses to do what is needed to protect their customer base…..well they are a piece of shit. Any company that does this, then waits a week needs to burn in Hell or get Herpes – personal choose preference for those who do not believe in the “afterlife” but if they are Sony workers, they can get both.

I do not want some wool over my eyes in the form of a “surveillance service”. I would expect a company like this who obviously has the money; the money that they have collected year after year to cough up that money and do the right thing. Protect those who butter their bread like your life depended on it. I see many people losing their jobs after this one; I really do not think Sony can come back from this and as much as I know it’s not everyone’s fault, I know it’s a good handful of peoples fault seeing as there was a week lapse before we actually knew the real deal. It’s like the worst thing to do and be caught doing.

There are good hackers and there are bad hackers; there are even some that ride the thin line and I am lucky enough to know a few of the good guys. The problem is extreme; a large fully known group with a vast amount of personal information floating about right now. I cannot wait until Sony’s sales drop; I hope they drop hard like a egg being launched off a tall building with an insane contraption built by The Mythbusters. I hope they hit the ground and start weeping like babies over this. I know my personal data is important to me, is their reputation important to them?

No company should ever think that they are better than another; even the best hacker has someone over their shoulder that is always a tad better. Protect your customer base or lose it; it’s really that simple.

The $1 million identity theft insurance policy is bullshit, how is that going to cover over 77-100 million accounts? While I am thinking about it; fuck your welcome back package and fuck your little dog too! I will not be coming back to you as a customer and I hope that my information never falls into the wrong hands. Karma babe; karma.
